These images are of typography created from potato sliced and fried to be used in promotional material for a band. Although I couldn’t find the designer, I found this particular experiment helpful for layout and the impact physical type imagery can have on the cover of a book. The space around the type is white […]

These are a very clever set of food typography examples, using anything and everything to create interesting imagery. There’s so much more to this way of experimenting compared to that of replicating a food ‘look’ on Photoshop! Why not just do the real thing!

This image was created by Thomas Cheng. About two years ago I wouldn’t of been able to understand this, however since then my knowledge around diabetes has increased dramatically. This is a very clever use of food to create typography to represent Type 2 Diabetes and how their main focus in life is based around […]

As part of my project, I’ve decided to steer away from my idea of creating ridiculous typography after a critique on my natural typography. What I considered ridiculous turned about to be typography that is very useful; the opposite of what i was trying to replicate. Instead of using: “I hope to be ridiculous until […]

Apart from the many bugs I found crawling around my room from the plant life, it was a lot of fun arranging the natural objects; seeing what […]

So what is ridiculous typography? My theme for my magazine spread about Oded Ezer is ‘ridiculous typography’. To expand further I need to determine what really is ridiculous typography? Is it 3D typography that I’ve favored in my recent posts. Or is ridiculous type something unreadable and pointless? In my opinion, ridiculous typography could be […]

First things first manifesto one day project design layout. I decided to give my own designs a go, these are very simple, but I was just experimenting with Indesign layout with the text.
