Spacial Typography Brief
Spatial Typography
In the new brief, we have been asked to ‘consider space and its relationship to empowering communication’ and to discover other ways to communicate within a space thats something other than a poster or a video on the wall. This means considering 3D Typography in the space, the lighting on the typography whether it’s the shadow it creates or a projection.
Selected at random, my ‘space’ is the AUCB Library, and my word to connect is ‘Secret’. I think these are a great match, and I instantly think of hidden typography in corners because of how a secret is hidden and concealed from others. It could be hidden amongst the books, with a shadow that projects onto the corresponding book shelves. The key is to interpret the typography inside the space, as a secret.
