On August 6, 1991 the world’s first web page was launched:

The page outlined the plans for the World Wide Web. It was also this year that HTML was born and the first publicly available description of HTML was released. Some of these tags are still in use today, such as h1-h6 tags, paragraph tags and anchor tags.
