Identity Project Above is our final logo for the Identity Project. We may need to look further into font choices so that each one can line up properly, but in time for the pitch, this is what we came up with. As a logo it works in the sense of attracting the attention of viewers, […]

Identity Project Above are two images of experimentation with logo design for our Identity re-brand of ‘TLK, Design Buddies and PAL. As a group we first brain stormed ideas of names for the re-brand. We looked into words that described what the three areas were about and came up with; Sharing, mentoring, partaking, encouragement, networking, […]

Second (group) Project: Identity Rebrand

Second (group) Project: Identity Rebrand For this second project we would be working in the same groups as before, but also working alongside two of the third year students. PAL (Peer Assisted Learning), TLK, and Design Buddies are schemes which share a common theme within the Viscom course. They are centred upon the sharing of […]

Project Truths These were the final three design my group and I developed for pin up. Our first fact: ‘The British invented the wheel of doom, a rocket propelled catherine wheel to roll up the beaches on D-Day’ Second fact: ‘Omaha beach had the most casulties during D-Day’ The fake fact: ‘The Germans dressed up […]

Project Truths Browsing through font’s online, this was the font I found that I used on my designs. Once the group had brought all our designs together, we decided to go with Toby’s design. Incorporating Headliner No. 45 as the font on his design.

Project Truths With the facts all done, we each did our own versions from the initial ideas we wrote down. These are Toby’s developments. He was looking into the idea he had with the big D including an image based on the statement. He experimented with the font, layout, and colour. The images he used […]

Project Truths These are a set of three posters showing three facts, however one of these facts is a lie. The posters are designed to have a ‘graphic style’ that makes them a set and easily recognisable to be related to one another. Fact one: 1. The British invented a Rocket-Propelled Catherine Wheel called Panjandrum […]

DEVELOPMENT OF WW2 POSTER IDEAS As a group we decided to each come up with a visual idea that we could then come together and collaborate into one. Each image here is the development I’ve gone through with designing a poster influenced by WW2 design. The simplicity of the shapes are to disguise the images […]

‘Truths’ Looking into World War Two posters I have noticed the repetition of font’s that are much like Letterpress. Letterpress has an iconic style that’s instantly recognisable. Admittedly there are now computer generated styles of font, but experimenting with actual lettepress could be a possibility.
